Professor Jean-Luc Margot is a planetary astronomer affiliated with the UCLA Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences, and the UCLA Department of Physics and Astronomy.
Megan Li joined UCLA SETI in March 2022 to pursue a PhD in the field of SETI. She has a B.S. in Physics and Astrophysics from UCSD. She is passionate about education and public outreach and will play a leading a role in launching our citizen science platform and analyzing the science results.
Dr. Paul Pinchuk took the UCLA SETI course in 2017 and decided to pursue a PhD in our group. He is one of only about a dozen earthlings to earn a PhD in SETI. He had a profound impact on the development of our pipeline and assisted with the UCLA SETI course from 2018 to 2021. He is now a Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Dr. Adam Greenberg was a founding member of the UCLA SETI Group. He wrote key elements of our data-processing pipeline and was an informal teaching assistant for the UCLA SETI course in 2016 and 2017. He is now a Senior Systems Engineer at Raytheon.
Robert Geil was a UCLA computer science student who took the UCLA SETI course in 2019 and served as informal teaching assistant for the course in 2020 and 2021. Robert helped speed up our data-processing pipeline with C code and CUDA code. Robert is now a Software Engineer at Belvedere Trading, LLC.
